Koh Tao was named by the first settlers where the geographic location was like a Turtle. At first this island was uninhabited. Later people started to move on to the island due to Storms. The economy of the island is centered on tourism. These are natural breeding grounds for Hawksbill turtles and Green turtles. It’s a great centre of attraction for the tourists.

During 1933 these islands were used as Prison land as they were at a great distant from the Mainland. During 1980 the popularity of the island has increased, since this was discovered by Young Tourists. From that time it became a popular Tourist spot.

Climate:The year can be split into 3 seasons namely hot, dry and rainy.
- Hot season: March- August
Humidity increases with increase in rainfall and it creates a sticky condition where the temperature of sea gets up to 30°C.
- Dry season: December-February
This is the coolest time of the year where the average temperature is 22 to 29 °C and the temperature of the sea will be 28°C
- Rainy season: September to November.
During this season the weather is totally unpredictable with heavy and intense downpours.
- Sairee beach:
The white Sandy beach that lies to the West coast that extends upto 1.7km is the Sairee beach. This long beach is often interrupted by Boulders and Resorts. You can loosen up either playing in the beaches or having fun at the adventurous sports or you can take a day off by relaxing in any of the resorts.
- Mae Haad:
The sunset view from the beach gives a pleasant view. Hiring Motorbikes and enjoying a ride in them is the ultimate best journey you’ve ever made. Ofcourse there are many other options for transportation. But hiring Motorcycles are the best choices you can make.
- Shark Bay:
Shark Bay is the wonderful and most preferred spot for Snorkelling. Don’t fear about the name there aren’t sharks in the beach it’s the reefs that look like sharks.
Other than these Ko Nang Yuan Freedom Beach, Mango Bay, Laem Thian, Hin Wong Bay, Tanote Bay are good spots for one day excursions. Other than these there are several viewpoints such as John Suwan Mountain viewpoint in the south and Fraggle Rock in the north.
Sports like Snorkeling, Free diving, Scuba Diving, Boating, Water Bikes, Hiking, Rock climbing and Bouldering are highly encouraged. Tourists might find themselves highly entertained by all these adventurous sports.
The Phi Phi islands are located in Thailand. It consists of two Krabi provinces namely Ko Phi Phi Don (most populated island) & Ko Phi Phi Lee (visited by many people). Phi Phi Don originally populated by Muslim Fishermen but later it became a Coconut Plantation.

Located: Between Phuket & Western Strait of Malacca.

These islands are said to be the oldest province in all of Thailands and is said to exist from pre-historic period. Krabi means Sword. Phi Phi originated from the original Malay word Pulau Api-Api (The Fiery Isle).
There are 6 islands in the group known as Phi Phi. Lies 50km south east to Phuket. Among them Phi Phi Don & Phi Phi Lee are the most famous and largest islands. The Hadnopparattara-Koh Phi Phi National Park serves as the home for many corals and is the mother of Marine Life. And there are also Limestone mountains with Cliffs, Caves with Long and White Sandy Beaches.

The wether is usually tropic. There exists only two seasons. Hot season from January to April & Rainy Season from May to December.
Maya Bay is popular for Diving. And after the advent of the Hollywood film “The Beach” in these beaches have gained more popularity for Diving. The Tsunami that striked during 2004 has improved the look of Maya Bay. These high waves have cleaned up the beach landscaping it.
Ko Phi Phi Don:
Largest of Phi Phi islands. It consists of the large towns and Resort Areas. These islands were formerly of Ultimate sceneric beauty, but due to the over-population of the Tourists and also the improvement of Restaurants, shops and Internet Cafe the place has been exploited.
The view of the twin bays with the curved areas of the Sandy Beaches gives a spectacular view. Boat trips and Snorkelling are encouraged for visualizing the Coral Reefs inside the shallow waters.
Ko Phi Phi Lee:
2nd Largest of the Phi Phi islands. Consists of a Ring of steep of Limestone hills which is surrounded by Maya Bay, Loh Samah (shallow Bays). There’s one large shallow called Pi Ley with a coral reef as the entrance. Gives a spectacular sceneric vies of the bays Ao Pi Le, Ao Maya, Ao Lo Sa Ma. Lies to the Northern East part the Tham Viking Cave. The cave was renamed as Tham Phaya Nak (or) Naga Serpent Cave by the King Bhumibol Adulyadej because it resembled a mythical creature.
Other than this the tourist attractions are the Stone beaches at Koh Yung, Coral spots at Ao Maya & Ao Lo Sama. Also there exists marvellous beaches along the coast that stretches from north to south of the island at Ko Mai Phai.
Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Diving, Kayaking and other Marine recreational activities have been encouraged for the tourists.
Kauai is 4th main largest Island and oldest one in the Hawaiin Islands. It’s also known as the Garden Isle. It’s the most large populated city ever. Hawaiin tradition says that the name origin was due to a Polynesian navigator who first discovered these islands. He named it after his favourite son. Kauai means “place around the neck” where he wolud carry his son usually. Also there exists another possiblity for the translation namely “Food Season”.
In 1778, Captain JamesCook arrived at Waimea Bay who was the 1st European who arrived at Hawaiian islands.
Origin of the islands are Volcanic. The island is formed due to the passage created by the Pacific Plate over the Hawaiian Hotspot. The island is approximately estimated to be 6 million years old. Highest peak is said to be Kawaikini. And the second highest peak is Mount Wai’ale’ale which exists at the centre of the island.

- Poipu Beach Park:
This is one of the most safest and popular beaches in the world. Poipu beach is said to be the “America’s Best Beach”. From December to May it’s a common thing to spot Humpback whales that spouts on shore. And if you’re lucky you can also see Monk Seals that take a sunbath on the shore. Snorkeling gives you a new experience about viewing the colourful fish. Additionally there’s a wading pool for youngsters and Toddlers.
· Wailua River:
Located to the east side of the island is one of the famous rivers in Hawaii which extends for about 20 miles. It has 2 famous waterfalls namely Opaekka Falls and Wailua Falls. Boat tours are available. This serves as a romantic area and is a popular wedding venue. There exists a mountain ridge between the Wailua and Kappa taht looks like a human figure that lies on its back. Also there are 7 different temples present at the center of the island (Mount Waialeale)
· Kokee State Park:
Located north to the Waimea Cnyon is the Kokee state park. Kokee state park serves as the homeplace of various kinds of flora and fauna and it supports the endemic species too. Hiking through these forest gives you quite the adventure. And there’s a Natural History Museum where you can see the trails of the forest because you don’t want to get lost in the forest do ya?
There are 2 lookouts namely the Kalalau and Puu O kila which stretches over to the sea. The glimpse of this view is highly exceptional.
Other than these places there are a variety of places to view such as the Northern Shore, Napali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Old Koloa town, Hanapepe town, Hanalei town etc.

Andaman & Nicobar islands are one of the most important Union Territories in India.

Andaman & Nicobar are a large group consisting of nearly 600 islands in the Bay of Bengal. Closer to Myanmar and Thailand. Ranges in length of about 500km with Andaman in the north and Nicobars in the South. Comprises of 5 major islands:

Islands are preferred best for their climate. They are typically tropical. During the months of Oct-Feb are the climate is comfortable and we can sit back and relax at the beach. Nights are cool. - Havelock Island: Named after the British general. Most of the population comprises of Bengali people. Lies 57km north to Port Blair. Elephants are used to entertain the tourists. Time magazine has mentioned the beach as “Best beach in Asia”. Comprises of 5 villages.

Car Nicobar is often referred as Pu in the local language. It’s the important town. There are two main festivals held at Car Nicobar. They are conducted with immense enthusiasm. They are:
- Subhash Mela festival
- Island Tourism Festival
Subhash mela: Subhash Mela is a very famous festival that occurs throughout the island of Car Nicobar. This is celebrated every first month of the year i.e. January. This festival marks the birth anniversary of Nethaji Subhash Chandr Bose. The festival lasts for a week and various cultural events are organized during this festival.
Island Tourism Festival: This festival is specially for the tourists. It’s a 10 day continuous festival and is held during the onset of Winter season i.e fro December. This is a worldwide popular festival where all sorts of dance and cultural festivals will be held. Tourists from all over the world come and enjoy this show. The main aim of this festival is to promote tourism in Andman & Nicobar by expressing their culture.
Located at: Northernmost to the Nicobar islands. It is one of the two local administrative divisions of Indian district of Nicobar.

Car Nicobar lies between Little Andaman and Nancowrie. With some cliffs in the north and small hilly areas in the interior. And are bordered by silvery beach. It is a small island compared to Middle & South Andaman. There are 15 villages where the largest of them is called Urekka often referred as “Malacca” by the tourists. - Baratang Island
